mmThe specimen is from
La Toca mine, which is about 45 minutes from our Ambar Ranch in Jacagua,
Santiago. The piece is authentic. It is NOT copal.
mmThe lizard, probably an anolis, is sourrounded by several insects and it seems that the little fellow probably had tried to feed on them when he got trapped. One is close to his mouth. |

There is also something like a twig across his lower
part and we are not sure whether it fell on him and pressed him into the
resin so he could not escape anymore, or he just got stuck like the ants
around him. Anyhow, it is an expremely rare specimen in surprisingly good
conditions.
The specimen has been sold. From the same mine we also had a feather: Feather in Amber | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
